The first one, because it's The Twelves, a group I saw a couple weekends back. They always deliver good mixes, and in this case, it's no different. I imagine this mix is a precursor to their upcoming EP, too bad it won't be a full length, but I'm sure the quality will be so good, we won't mind.

The Twelves - The Twelfth Hour

The second mix is delivered by DJ of DJs, Erol Alkan, who stopped by BBC Radio 6 and dropped some new tracks, some fresh ones and some hyped ones. However you might feel about electronic music, Erol has always been on top of his game in delivering variety and in his mixes.

Back at it

Since the last remix of "Ce Jeu", The Twelves have put out an excellent 30 minute mix. While in large part they belong to and are influenced by the sounds coming from other places around the world, their is a consistent fresh breath to what's going on with their music. Included in this mix are three new remixes. The Twelves write:

"The Black Kids remix will be a iTunes exclusive on the single. The T.O.D. remix has no release date yet."

The Black Kids remix can be heard in its entirety at their myspace. As for the Chromatics remix, it was done in the spirit of fun. Hit these guys up on their myspace: things will only continue to get better.

The Twelves

The Twelves -- what can I say? I can say this: female vocals make the world a happier place, and these two Brazilians take complete advantage of this. Every remix they are putting out at this moment is ballin and you can see the clear line of progression. From the time I originally started writing this post, they have added two remixes to their small roster, but don't let that mislead you! All the productions are solid. Their latest remix, among nine others, placed on top in the remix contest for French love Yelle. Check out the other winners on her myspace blog where you can download all ten finalists. I highly recommend going to The Twelve's myspace and checking out their other remixes, and drinking tea, and eating biscuits feuilletés.
