War In My Ears

I've been thinking about the top of '09 post (yes I'm thinking ahead that early) and I was trying hard to remember most of last years (got taken down by the web-police). One of the songs I remember having on there was Proxy's "Raven". Can you guys still remember what a massive club anthem that was last year? I was wondering when we'd hear from them, knowing that they were working on an album. Sure enough, the man recently released the "Who Are You?" 12'' with a Bloody Beetroots remix, and we just got our hands on a song from the album. Welcome back, Proxy, we missed you.

P.S. By popular demand, we re-uploaded the A-Trak remix.

Not Just Yet

Cécile is not an exact unknown, but he has made himself much more prominent recently in the blogosphere and in his workings with Bob Rifo of The Bloody Beetroots. The remix for Pets Dance by the SPA was a co-op between himself and the Beets, and the few productions released by him are beginning to make him one to watch in 2009. Never Trust is electro metal goodness, while the Andromeda is a bit less abrassive, a lot more melodic.

Remember Ezekial eats red hoodie? That was quite a long time ago. As that sound was so far apart from what Two french quys in France were doing at the time, and hard to, well . . . comprehend, the Bloody Beetroots today are a working sound that can't be reckoned with, spawning other hopeful wannabees, few if any are original. 2007, 2008 . . . Where will 2009 go?

Bloody Hell

I was looking for some musical inspiration recently until all the good stuff that is to coming in early 2009 is released. Came across this Bloody Beetroots Remixes for 2009 teaser, including all the remixes the Italian duo will release this year, and given the quality of the snippets, I hope that they are able to release some more. They seem to have toned down their sound to be a bit softer, but this is still party or die music.
